Bio

Academic Associate at the Institute of Education, University of London; Violin Tutor at the University of East Anglia; International Music Examiner for the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO); Supervisor of Cambridge University's ESOL examinations in Greece.

Efthymios after completing his music education in Greece, Germany, The Netherlands and France, he came to England for his PhD research in University of East Anglia. All these years, he has been awarded one Diploma of Violin, one Bachelor of Music, two Masters of Music (solo and chamber music), while he is expecting for a Certificate in Education shortly. 

With a special interest in instrumental performance and psychology of music, Efthymios' present research is focused on instrumental teaching and learning in higher education. As a result of his latest activity, various papers and articles have been prepared and sent in major music education journals, while many of them either have been already published or being in theprocess to. Presentations related to this research have been given inconferences, workshops and master classes in Europe, including Coventry University (UK), University of Macedonia (Greece), University of East Anglia(UK) and London Arts Club (UK).        

During his career, Efthymios has won three first prizes, a second prize, a "special performance distinction", several "Awards of Honours" as well as scholarships for his musical, violinistic, and research performance. He has appeared as a soloist in most of the European Countries and the United States.
